I love Christmas. It's the one time of year when I can be both ridiculuously generous and ridiculuously selfish at the same time and not feel weird about either one.

I really needed the break this year. I got burned out at college this semester worse than ever before. It seemed like every time that I began working things out, the Irony Gods threw a wobbly. Destesible jerks... *gets hit by a lightning bolt*

*brushes off her singed clothing and coughs* Ahem. Enough of my complaining. I shouldn't complain. I got a good catch this year. I have a scanner now! And enough money to buy my video camera! Yays!

The day after Christmas we packed up the car and went to our normal vacation locale- G'burg. Dave and Linda were their normal sarcastically cheerful selves, Lily the cat is even fatter than the last time I saw her and is now beginning to resemble a fuzzy lightbulb, and Daisy the pom licked all the flesh off my hands. (Side note to Eilatan and Raze- Dave and Linda have approved spring break, provided we send them the dates.) Mumsie was very happy when I told her that I was only planning on bringing a few cds and Drew- my nano. She was less happy when she realized that, in exchange, I brought six DVDs. I must say, it is very odd to watch a car chase sequence while riding in a car.
